]]> Ukrainian artist Pavel Guzenko manages to capture the glimmering gaze of the human eye with his impressionist technique. Each shimmering orb depicts a remarkable reflective surface, truly capturing the sparkle in one’s eye.

Guzenko, who lives and works in Kiev, began his artistic career as a designer but has pursued his professional path in painting since 2006. The oil painter has a rich color palette that is evident in the body of his work that goes beyond the confines of the human eye. Each painting employs the talented artist’s quick brushstrokes that aren’t concerned so much with fine detailing as capturing the dynamic essence of the image. ( via mymodernmet )

]]> German artist Cornelia Konrads creates mind-bending site-specific installations in public spaces, sculpture parks and private gardens around the world.

Her work is frequently punctuated by the illusion of weightlessness, where stacked objects like logs, fences, and doorways appear to be suspended in mid-air, reinforcing their temporary nature as if the installation is beginning to dissolve before your very eyes. One of her more recent sculptures, Schleudersitz is an enormous slingshot made from a common park bench, and you can get a great idea of what it might be like to sit inside it with this interactive 360 degree view.

]]> Mark Stoddart created a unique collection of beautiful sculptures. Many of these have been produced as functional glass-topped coffee and dining tables. A transparent glass table top is pierced by the body of an animal, making it look like the “beast” is emerging out of the water.
