Bird Nest Chair by Floris Wubben

Always fascinated by natural architectural structures, dutch designer Floris Wubben references the formal shape of a bird’s nest in the development of his ‘eyrie chair’.

Steam-bent ash has been used to create the seating object’s craddling form, with the connections between the curved slats made by an ash pin and wood glue. The structural supporting frame is formed by large wooden branches. (via designboom)
